Dogs, biscuits and puzzles

So another action packed afternoon yesterday. I was taken by my pirate flag bearing friend to a Dog Physio place just outside the village. The place is called Wobbly Dogs. The aforementioned friend has been driving yet another friend and her ten year old Labrador to this place, as he has been finding getting about isn’t so easy any more. The place is run by two young ladies, we met one yesterday who is fully trained, she  did the usual physio training, then a masters in animal physio. She starts with a look at how well this dog walks, then on a nice comfy mat, she  felt around his limbs and back, identifying areas where he might be having a hard time of it. She then did some manipulation, and treated him with a sort of laser looking device. This dog has been coming here for over a year, I think he visits once every three weeks. The owner said it’s like a transformation. Clearly not all his problems can be fixed, but he looks pretty good to me. At the end of the session, he goes on a treadmill, but it’s in a tank which is filled with water, to where it almost covers his legs. The owner keeps him interested by spreading soft cheese on the inside of the glass which he licks off.

My friend with the flag, she had bought me some Xmas style biscuits, the Labrador owner got some too. They are cinnamon  which is not my favourite spice, but the biscuits actually taste very nice.

We have been using the tomatoes my neighbour brought around, my lodger had never seen the Italian shaped ones before, I ate one for lunch, it tasted very good, the other one went in last nights salad. When I was in the Dog Physio place, I got a nice surprise, which although expected, I wasn’t sure when it would happen. My ex colleague from work, he had just come over from America with his wife on holiday and they wanted to see me before they set off on their travels around the UK. They have been many times and interestingly do go to places off the beaten track, and not just the usual ones.As he is reading this blog, he knew I was interested in doing jigsaw puzzles and they bought me this lovely one, It’s wooden, and he knows I like dogs so…and  thank you for popping over.
