No press, thank you!

I have had a productive few days, but nothing so notable so have not written it up until now. I have taken up the reins of the TRHA web site , I fixed the contact us web page, or rather got the hosting company to fix a problem which meant it had stopped working. Their claim was that there was a bug in our code, which had not changed. I asked ChatGPTto write us a contact us web page, which also did not work, I submitted a new service request, with other information, and they fixed a problem, almost certainly of their own doing. I have also prototyped a new images page, to be used with Google photos, to better display our photo gallery.

While waiting for the nurse to come and do my dressings, I cooked a gammon joint, and on the hob, simmered leeks, lentils and carrots in a stock. Once this was cooked, I cut some of the gammon into cubes, froze the remainder for another day, and the result was this, after adding a bit of cream. There is probably too much for us both tonight, so the remainder can be frozen also.

I then ended up ringing our energy suppliers , as since March when our gas meter failed, we have been moved to a new supplier, for reasons that are not clear. Getting us moved back, looks like it’s going to be a challenge! After the nurse had been, I decided to walk down into the village and have a lemon drizzle treat at the Orangery This and the Cosy Nook are my two favourite haunts, and you get a lovely welcome at both. Afterwards, I popped into the pharmacy opposite for  a repeat prescription, had a chat with the pharmacist, his wife had been talking to me over messenger about possibly helping the Herbie Hedgehog people out with their web page. But web pages are  personal things and I suspect the current administrator will be happy to work on it themselves, it’s not something you can hand over easily, I know! But maybe when I am mobile I can help them with other things, let’s see.

I also heard from the local Dog Rescue place, I think they were worried the rugs I might make, could be chewed up by their dogs and then ingested, meaning an operation might be needed to remove the bits from the dogs gut, so maybe not such a good idea. I also heard from a journalist who works for the local newspaper, they wanted to do an article about me, they spotted my request for ideas that I could do to help the community, while I am lame, but I am afraid, I don’t want to be in the press, I like the idea of doing these things, but don’t want to have publicity about it!
