Easter Egg

I went out today with my Skull and Crossbones friend. We went to the local pet rescue place, she had a dog agility kit she wanted to give them. We did not see any dogs, but she bought her pooch a nice coat which I think was black and said guard dog on it. Unfortunately her dog is probably not a very good guard dog! We went to a place which probably started as a garden centre, but now has several other units, with other businesses on site. There was an excellent fruit and vegetable shop, they had fresh turmeric, it’s like a small version of ginger. Finally on  the way back we stopped in Hurst, where we knew there is this huge knitted Easter egg, made by the Hurst Hookers.

When I got back, I then did a litter pick walk around the village. I did not find much which is good. It also did not rain. Last night I had my fish and chips supper and sat in the railway station and afterwards took some photos, I put them in a Facebook post. This morning, before my trip out, I changed over the TRHA web site to the new version I have been working on. Yesterday afternoon, I did a lot of baking, I made trial cheese straws and chocolate brownies, I am entering each of these in next weeks TRHA Spring show. I also made a lemon drizzle cake, half of it went to a friend, her husband is not well and her dog and I know she likes lemon drizzle.

I have also fixed the broken bulb in the car, finally. This afternoon I am seeing a friend with a cocker spaniel, who I knew from her being a puppy. Tonight I am off to Henley to have a meal in my favourite pub in the town. I will go by train. My lodging family, unfortunately the house they are meant to move into failed its inspection but luckily for them an alternative is available, so they should be in there in two weeks time.  I need to go up to the allotment and look at the space I have been given and decided what to grow. Last week I went to a talk on the allotments near us, where we listened to someone talking about germination problems and pests and diseases. One of the plots has been turned into a community area, it has an open shed, chemical toilet, on top of the shed is a solar panel so you can make yourself a tea or something like that. There is nice seating about too.
